Amy Shoumer, DMD
Meet Dr. Amy Shoumer
Dr. Amy P. Shoumer was raised in Ocean City, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in 1998 and was a member of the Omnicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society. She received her dental degree from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2002 earning the Community Dentistry and Pediatric Dental Health Award and the American Society of Dentistry for Children Award. Dr. Shoumer continued her education by completing a General Practice Residency at Virtua West Jersey Hospital then returned to the University of Pennsylvania for a second post doctoral certificate in Advanced General Restorative Dentistry. After practicing in Chestnut Hill and at non-profit organizations she joined Main Line Dental Group in 2006.
Dr. Shoumer has devoted her professional career to all apects of general dentistry with a special interest in the treatment of children. She earned her Invisalign certification in 2004. Dr. Shoumer continues to take advanced training in various aspects of general dentistry including Invisalign, the use of CAD/CAM technology and restorative techniques in minimally invasive dentistry.
Dr. Shoumer lives in Wayne with her husband and two daughters, Sarah and Alexandra.
